Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and baking soda. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Divide the meat mixture into small portions and shape them into elongated sausage-like shapes, about 2-3 inches long.
  5. Brush the grill or grill pan with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill the Ćevapi for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until they are nicely browned and cooked through.
  7. While the Ćevapi are grilling, warm the flatbread on the grill for a few seconds on each side.
  8. Serve the grilled Ćevapi on the warm flatbread, topped with ajvar and thinly sliced onions.
