Yum Talay
Yum Talay is a spicy and tangy Thai seafood salad made with a variety of fresh seafood and a flavorful dressing.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Roasted peanuts - 1/4 cup, crushed
- Mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Tomato - 1, diced
- Red onion - 1/4 cup, thinly sliced
- Thai chili peppers - 2, thinly sliced
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1/4 cup
- Mussels - 1/2 pound, cleaned
- Scallops - 1/2 pound
- Squid - 1/2 pound, cleaned and sliced
- Shrimp - 1/2 pound, peeled and deveined
Let's Get Started
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the shrimp, squid, scallops, and mussels. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the seafood is cooked through. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, and Thai chili peppers.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked seafood, red onion, tomato, cucumber, cilantro, and mint leaves.
- Pour the dressing over the seafood mixture and toss to combine.
- Garnish with crushed roasted peanuts.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
