Yam Wun Sen
Yam Wun Sen is a refreshing Thai salad made with glass noodles, shrimp, and a tangy dressing.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Roasted peanuts - 2 tablespoons, crushed
- Mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red onion - 1/4 cup, thinly sliced
- Chili pepper - 1, finely chopped
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 3 tablespoons
- Shrimp - 200g, peeled and deveined
- Glass noodles - 100g
Let's Get Started
- Soak the glass noodles in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes, until pink and cooked through. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, and chili pepper to make the dressing.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the glass noodles, cooked shrimp, red onion, cilantro, and mint leaves.
- Pour the dressing over the noodle mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with crushed roasted peanuts.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
