Yakisoba
Yakisoba is a classic Japanese stir fry noodles dish with pork and vegetables, and it's seasoned with a sweet & savory sauce similar to Worcestershire sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Pickled red ginger - For garnish
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Yakisoba sauce - 6 tablespoons
- White pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Pork belly - 200g, thinly sliced
- Yakisoba noodles - 4 packets
Let's Get Started
- Boil the yakisoba noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork belly and cook until browned.
- Add the onion, carrot, and bell pepper to the pan. Stir fry until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Stir fry for a few minutes until the noodles are heated through.
- Pour the yakisoba sauce over the noodles. Stir well to combine.
- Season with white pepper and add the chopped green onions.
- Serve the yakisoba hot, garnished with pickled red ginger.
