Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the sticky rice in water for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.
  2. Drain the rice and steam it for about 20 minutes, or until it becomes translucent and soft.
  3. While the rice is steaming, toast the black sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat until they become fragrant.
  4. Grind the toasted sesame seeds in a food processor until they become a fine powder.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the ground sesame seeds, sugar, and salt together.
  6. Once the rice is done steaming, add it to the bowl with the sesame seed mixture and mix well.
  7. Add the coconut milk to the rice and mix until everything is well combined.
  8. Serve the Xoi Ma warm, with additional coconut milk on top if desired.
