Wonton Soup
A comforting and delicious soup made with homemade wontons, chicken broth, and fresh vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Shiitake mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
- Bok choy - 2 cups, chopped
- Chicken broth - 8 cups
- Wonton wrappers - 50 pieces
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Ground pork - 1/2 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and egg. Mix until well combined.
- Place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the filling and seal the edges.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
- Add the wontons to the pot and cook for 5 minutes, or until they float to the top.
- Add the bok choy and mushrooms to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Serve the soup hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
