Rhody Ramen
A delicious homemade ramen with a Rhode Island twist, featuring fresh seafood and local ingredients.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Nori sheets - 4
- Cooked clams - 1 cup
- Cooked shrimp - 1 cup
- Soft-boiled eggs - 4
- Green onions - 4, sliced
- Shiitake mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Chicken broth - 8 cups
- Ramen noodles - 4 packs
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
- Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and shiitake mushrooms. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- In a separate pot, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Divide the cooked noodles among 4 bowls.
- Ladle the broth over the noodles, making sure to include mushrooms in each serving.
- Top each bowl with green onions, a soft-boiled egg, cooked shrimp, cooked clams, and a nori sheet.
- Serve the Rhody Ramen hot, with additional soy sauce on the side if desired.
