Warm Pear and Roquefort Tart
A savory tart featuring the unique combination of sweet pears and tangy Roquefort cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Walnuts - 50 grams, chopped
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Pears - 2, peeled and sliced
- Roquefort cheese - 100 grams
- Puff pastry - 1 sheet
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) mark 6.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and transfer to a baking sheet.
- Crumble the Roquefort cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a 2cm border around the edge.
- Arrange the pear slices on top of the cheese.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a border.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Drizzle the tart with honey and sprinkle with chopped walnuts before serving.
