Turkish Apple Tea

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Place the diced apples, water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and cloves in a large pot.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the apples are soft.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and use a potato masher or a fork to mash the apples until they are pulpy.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large jug, pressing down on the apples to extract as much juice as possible.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice, then let the tea cool to room temperature.
  6. Serve the tea over ice, or reheat it and serve it warm.
