Turkey Reuben Sandwich
A delicious twist on the classic Reuben sandwich, made with turkey, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Russian dressing - 1/4 cup
- Swiss cheese - 4 slices
- Sauerkraut - 1 cup, drained
- Rye bread - 4 slices
- Turkey breast - 8 slices
Let's Get Started
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Layer 2 slices of turkey, 1 slice of Swiss cheese, and 1/2 cup of sauerkraut on two slices of bread.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.
- Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches on the skillet or griddle and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
