Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks. Boil them until they are soft.
  2. While the potatoes are boiling, chop the cabbage and cook it in a separate pot until it is soft and tender.
  3. In a large pan, cook the bacon until it is crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside, but keep the grease in the pan.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook it in the bacon grease until it is fragrant.
  5. Drain the potatoes and cabbage and add them to the pan with the garlic. Mash everything together until it is well combined.
  6. Crumble the cooked bacon and mix it into the potato and cabbage mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the trinxat hot, with a side of bread if desired.
