Let's Get Started

  1. In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pot and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the pot and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the chopped collard greens to the pot and stir until they start to wilt.
  5. Add the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.
  6. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Let the greens simmer for about 45 minutes, or until they are tender.
  7. Crumble the cooked bacon and stir it into the greens before serving.
