  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and cloves.
  4. Mix in the rum, prunes, raisins, and walnuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. Bake for 2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
