Tonkatsu Sandwich

Ingredients - Serves 2

Let's Get Started

  1. Season the pork cutlets with salt and black pepper.
  2. Dredge the cutlets in flour, dip them in beaten egg, and coat them with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the breaded pork cutlets until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the cutlets from the pan and drain them on a paper towel.
  6. Spread tonkatsu sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
  7. Place a fried pork cutlet on one slice of bread.
  8. Top with shredded cabbage.
  9. Cover with another slice of bread, sauce side down.
  10. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make another sandwich.
  11. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve.
