Tofu Tikka Skewers
These flavorful skewers are packed with marinated tofu and colorful vegetables, all grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Wooden skewers - 8, soaked in water
- Red onion - 1, cut into chunks
- Bell peppers - 2, cut into chunks
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Extra firm tofu - 1 block, pressed and cubed
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, garam masala, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Thread the marinated tofu, bell peppers, and red onion onto the soaked skewers.
- Grill the skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the tofu is golden brown.
- Serve the tofu tikka skewers hot, with your favorite dipping sauce.
