Tofu Stir Fry
A quick and easy tofu stir-fry loaded with vegetables and a savory sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Mixed vegetables - 2 cups (e.g., bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Tofu - 1 block, drained and cubed
Let's Get Started
- Press the tofu to remove excess water and then cut into cubes.
- Heat the sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant.
- Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry until they are tender.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Pour this sauce over the vegetables in the pan.
- Return the tofu to the pan and stir to combine with the vegetables and sauce.
- Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the tofu stir-fry hot with rice or noodles.
