Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar. Beat until well combined and creamy.
  2. Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg yolk mixture and beat until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone and egg yolk mixture.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger into the espresso or coffee and arrange in a single layer at the bottom of a serving dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of espresso-dipped ladyfingers, followed by another layer of mascarpone cream.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or up to 8 hours) before serving.
  9. Before serving, dust the top of the dessert with cocoa powder.
