Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar until creamy and light in color.
  2. Add the mascarpone cheese and beat until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat the heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  4. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone and egg yolk mixture.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee and arrange in a single layer at the bottom of a serving dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of coffee-dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.
  8. Dust the top layer with the cocoa powder.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
