Thai Basil and Beef Wraps

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, and red chili flakes to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sliced beef to the skillet and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add red bell pepper and julienned carrots. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  6. Add the cooked beef back to the skillet and pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in Thai basil leaves.
  8. To assemble the wraps, place a lettuce leaf on a plate and add a spoonful of cooked rice noodles.
  9. Top with the beef and vegetable mixture.
  10. Roll up the lettuce leaf to form a wrap and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  11. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  12. Serve the Thai basil and beef wraps with extra sauce on the side for dipping.
