Teriyaki Tofu Wraps
These delicious teriyaki tofu wraps are filled with marinated tofu, fresh vegetables, and a tangy teriyaki sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Cucumber - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Red bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Whole wheat tortillas - 4
- Teriyaki sauce - 1/2 cup
- Firm tofu - 1 block, sliced into strips
Let's Get Started
- In a shallow dish, marinate the tofu strips in teriyaki sauce for 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the marinated tofu. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the tofu is golden brown and heated through.
- Warm the whole wheat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Place a lettuce leaf on each tortilla and top with the cooked tofu strips.
- Add the sliced red bell pepper, julienned carrot, cucumber slices, and chopped spring onions.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Drizzle additional teriyaki sauce over the fillings.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla over the fillings and roll tightly to form a wrap.
- Slice the wraps in half diagonally and serve.
