Let's Get Started

  1. Crumble the tempeh into a large bowl.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the vegetable mixture to the bowl with the tempeh. Stir in the soy sauce, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  5. Heat a little more olive oil in the skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  6. Serve the burgers on the buns with lettuce, tomato, and any other desired toppings.
