Tandoori Roti is a popular Indian bread made with whole wheat flour and cooked in a tandoor or oven.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Ghee - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 3/4 cup
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Whole wheat flour - 2 cups

- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.
- Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
- Preheat a tandoor or oven to high heat.
- Roll out each dough ball into a thin, round roti.
- Place the roti on a hot tandoor or oven rack and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until it puffs up and gets brown spots.
- Remove the roti from the tandoor or oven and brush with ghee.
- Serve hot with your favorite curry or dish.
