Tandoori potato is a delicious Indian dish made with marinated potatoes cooked in a tandoor or oven.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander leaves - For garnish
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Potatoes - 4 medium-sized
Let's Get Started
- Boil the potatoes until they are fork-tender. Peel and cut them into cubes.
- In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt.
- Add the potato cubes to the marinade and mix well, ensuring all the potatoes are coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Thread the marinated potato cubes onto skewers or place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the potatoes with oil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
