Masala Tikki Fries
These crispy masala tikki fries are a delicious twist on traditional french fries, seasoned with Indian spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon wedges - For serving
- Fresh coriander leaves - For garnish
- Oil - For frying
- Salt - To taste
- Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Rice flour - 2 tablespoons
- Chickpea flour - 1/2 cup
- Potatoes - 4 medium-sized, peeled and cut into fries

- In a large bowl, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
- In a separate bowl, combine chickpea flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the dried potatoes to the flour mixture and toss until the fries are evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
