Paneer Masala
Paneer Masala is a classic Indian dish made with paneer cheese and a creamy, spicy tomato sauce. It's a delicious vegetarian option that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander leaves - For garnish
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chillies - 2, slit
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Tomatoes - 2, finely chopped
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Paneer cheese - 200 grams, cubed
Let's Get Started
- Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Saute until they turn golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and saute for a few more minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and slit green chillies to the pan. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the cubed paneer to the pan and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until the paneer is well coated with the masala.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
