Tacos de Alambre
Tacos de Alambre are delicious Mexican street tacos filled with grilled meat, onions, bell peppers, and melted cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lime wedges - For serving
- Cilantro - For garnish
- Salsa - For serving
- Oaxaca cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Corn tortillas - 8
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bacon - 4 slices, chopped
- Onion - 1, thinly sliced
- Bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
- Beef steak - 1 lb, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the bacon and cook until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced beef steak and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Return the cooked bacon and beef steak to the skillet with the onions and bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Warm the corn tortillas on a separate skillet or in the oven.
- Place a portion of the meat and vegetable mixture onto each tortilla.
- Top with shredded Oaxaca cheese, salsa, and garnish with cilantro.
- Serve the tacos de alambre with lime wedges on the side.
