Chili Lime Tempeh Tacos

Let's Get Started

  1. Cut the tempeh into thin strips and place in a shallow dish.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the lime juice, chili powder, and minced garlic. Pour over the tempeh and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated tempeh and cook until browned and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Warm the taco shells in the oven or on the stovetop.
  5. Fill each taco shell with a few pieces of the cooked tempeh, a few slices of avocado, some red onion, and a sprinkle of cilantro.
  6. Serve with a lime wedge on the side for squeezing over the top of the tacos.
