Sándwich de Medianoche
The Medianoche Sandwich is a popular late-night Cuban sandwich featuring ham, pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Dill pickles - 4 slices
- Swiss cheese - 4 slices
- Ham - 4 slices
- Roast pork - 4 slices
- Yellow mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Medianoche bread - 2 rolls
Let's Get Started
- Slice the Medianoche bread rolls in half.
- Spread mustard on the inside of each half.
- Layer the roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles on the bottom half of each roll.
- Place the top half of the roll on top of the sandwich fillings.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Place the sandwiches in the pan and press down with a spatula or sandwich press.
- Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
