Sweet and Sour Shrimp

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then toss in the cornstarch until well coated.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the bell peppers and onion and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the pineapple, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce to the pan. Stir until the sauce is heated through and thickened, about 2 minutes.
  5. Return the shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes, until the shrimp is heated through.
  6. Serve the sweet and sour shrimp over rice, if desired.
