Suutei Tsuivan
Suutei Tsuivan is a traditional Mongolian dish made with noodles, meat, and vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Water - 4 cups
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Noodles - 200 grams
- Potatoes - 2 medium, peeled and cubed
- Cabbage - 1/2 small head, thinly sliced
- Carrots - 2 medium, julienned
- Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Beef - 500 grams, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the onions and carrots. Cook until the onions are translucent.
- Add the cabbage and potatoes. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the water, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cooked beef and noodles to the pot. Stir well to combine.
- Simmer for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
