Let's Get Started

  1. In a large pot, combine the soy sauce, sugar, sake, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Add the beef to the pot and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the tofu, cabbage, mushrooms, and green onions to the pot. Cover and simmer until the vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. In a separate pot, cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Serve the sukiyaki with the cooked udon noodles.
