Spinach Cashew Pakoras
These crispy and flavorful spinach cashew pakoras are a delicious Indian snack made with spinach, cashews, and spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Oil - For frying
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Salt - To taste
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Rice flour - 1/4 cup
- Chickpea flour - 1 cup
- Cashews - 1/2 cup, coarsely chopped
- Spinach - 2 cups, finely chopped
Let's Get Started
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, cashews, chickpea flour, rice flour, onion, green chili, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Gradually add water and mix until you get a thick batter consistency.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadai over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the pakoras from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
