Spicy Korean Tofu Wraps
These spicy Korean tofu wraps are packed with flavor and make a delicious and healthy meal.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Tortilla wraps - 4
- Lettuce leaves - 8
- Cucumber - 1, julienned
- Carrots - 1, julienned
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Gochujang (korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Extra firm tofu - 1 block, drained and sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sugar. Mix well to make the marinade.
- Add the sliced tofu to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the marinated tofu for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
- Place a tortilla wrap on a flat surface and layer with lettuce leaves, marinated tofu, julienned carrots, julienned cucumber, sliced green onions, and toasted sesame seeds.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
- Repeat with the remaining tortilla wraps and ingredients.
- Serve the spicy Korean tofu wraps with extra gochujang sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.
