Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Pear - 1, grated
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Pork belly - 1.5 pounds, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, brown sugar, grated pear, chopped green onions, and toasted sesame seeds. Mix well to make the marinade.
- Place the thinly sliced pork belly in a ziplock bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork belly, making sure all slices are coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the pork belly from the marinade and shake off any excess marinade. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill the pork belly slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until nicely charred and cooked through.
- Transfer the grilled pork belly to a serving platter and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the Korean BBQ pork belly with steamed rice, lettuce leaves, and your favorite side dishes.
- Enjoy!
