Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh basil leaves - 1 cup
- Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Thai bird's eye chili - 2, thinly sliced
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sliced Thai bird's eye chili. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and stir-fry for 1 minute to coat the beef and vegetables evenly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
