Spiced Apple Compote

- Water - 1/2 cup
- Cloves - 1/8 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Apples - 4, peeled, cored and chopped

- In a large saucepan, combine the apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and water.
