Som Tum
Som Tum is a popular Thai salad featuring green papaya and a spicy chili lime dressing.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Roasted peanuts - 1/4 cup, crushed
- Palm sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 3 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Red chili - 1, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green beans - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Cherry tomatoes - 1 cup, halved
- Green papaya - 1, shredded
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded papaya, cherry tomatoes, and chopped green beans.
- In a small bowl, make the dressing by combining the minced garlic, chopped chili, fish sauce, lime juice, and palm sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to combine.
- Top with the crushed roasted peanuts before serving.
