- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Beef broth - 2 cups
- All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

- Pork chops - 4 bone-in, thick-cut
Let's Get Started
- Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until browned. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter.
- Add the sliced onions and mushrooms. Cook until the onions are caramelized and the mushrooms are golden brown.
- Sprinkle the flour over the onions and mushrooms. Stir well to coat.
- Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce and fresh thyme. Stir to combine.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, nestling them into the gravy.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and tender.
- Serve the smothered pork chops with the onion and mushroom gravy on top.
