Smokey Tempeh Wrap
A delicious and healthy wrap filled with smokey tempeh, fresh vegetables, and a tangy sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegan mayo - 4 tablespoons
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 4 leaves
- Whole wheat wraps - 4
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
- Liquid smoke - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Tempeh - 8 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Slice the tempeh into thin strips.
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, liquid smoke, and maple syrup.
- Add the tempeh strips to the bowl and let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the marinated tempeh to the pan and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.
- Spread a tablespoon of vegan mayo on each wrap.
- Place a lettuce leaf, a few slices of tomato, and a few slices of avocado on each wrap.
- Add the cooked tempeh to the wraps.
- Roll up the wraps and serve.
