Smokey Tempeh Sliders
These delicious sliders are packed with flavor from the smokey tempeh and are perfect for a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegan mayo - To taste
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 8 leaves
- Slider buns - 8
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
- Liquid smoke - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Tempeh - 8 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Cut the tempeh into thin slices and set aside.
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the tempeh slices to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, liquid smoke, maple syrup, and garlic powder.
- Pour the sauce over the tempeh and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
- Spread vegan mayo on the bottom of each slider bun. Top with a slice of tempeh, a lettuce leaf, and a slice of tomato.
- Place the top bun on each slider and serve.
