Slow Cooker Brisket
This tender and flavorful brisket is slow cooked to perfection with a savory blend of spices and vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Beef broth - 2 cups
- Celery - 2 stalks, sliced
- Carrots - 2 large, sliced
- Yellow onion - 1 large, sliced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 2 teaspoons
- Beef brisket - 4 pounds
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the brisket on both sides until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
- Place the sliced onion, carrots, and celery in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Place the seared brisket on top of the vegetables.
- Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the brisket is tender and falls apart easily.
- Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the sliced brisket with the vegetables and cooking liquid.
