Sincronizadas
Sincronizadas are a delicious Mexican dish made with tortillas, cheese, and your choice of filling.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Guacamole - 1/4 cup
- Sour cream - 1/4 cup
- Salsa - 1/4 cup
- Cooked chicken or ham (optional) - 1 cup, diced
- Cheese (e.g. cheddar or monterey jack) - 1 cup, shredded
- Flour tortillas - 4
Let's Get Started
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place one tortilla on the skillet and sprinkle half of the shredded cheese evenly over the tortilla.
- If using, add the diced chicken or ham on top of the cheese.
- Place another tortilla on top to create a sandwich.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
- Carefully flip the sincronizada and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the second side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Cut each sincronizada into quarters and serve hot with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole for dipping.
