Fajita Burger
A delicious fusion of Mexican fajitas and American burgers. This recipe combines the best of both worlds into a mouth-watering burger with a fajita twist.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salsa - To taste
- Guacamole - To taste
- Sour cream - To taste
- Burger buns - 4
- Cheddar cheese - 4 slices
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Red bell pepper - 1, sliced
- Green bell pepper - 1, sliced
- Fajita seasoning - 2 tablespoons
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with the fajita seasoning. Form into 4 patties.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side, or until done to your liking.
- While the burgers are cooking, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bell peppers and onion and cook until softened.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- To assemble the burgers, spread sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the bottom bun. Add the burger, then top with the cooked peppers and onions. Finish with the top bun.
