Shrimp Masala

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Stir well to coat the onions and spices.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through.
  8. Season with salt to taste.
  9. Stir in the chopped cilantro and lemon juice.
  10. Serve the shrimp masala over steamed rice or with naan bread.
