- Fresh cilantro - For garnish
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Tomatoes - 2, chopped
- Bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
- Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Chicken breast - 500 grams, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili. Cook for another minute.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and chopped tomatoes. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken and vegetables.
- Cover the pan and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the dish and give it a final stir.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
