Sheer Kurma
Sheer Kurma is a traditional Indian dessert made during festive occasions. It's a rich and creamy dessert made with vermicelli, milk, dates, and a mix of dry fruits.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Saffron strands - A few
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mixed dry fruits - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Dates - 10, chopped
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 1 litre
- Ghee - 2 tablespoons
- Vermicelli - 1/2 cup
Let's Get Started
- Heat ghee in a pan and roast the vermicelli until it turns golden brown.
- In a separate pan, boil the milk. Once it comes to a boil, add the roasted vermicelli and cook on low heat until the vermicelli is cooked.
- Add sugar, chopped dates, mixed dry fruits, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Mix well and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Serve the Sheer Kurma hot or chilled as per your preference.
