Let's Get Started

  1. Grind the saffron threads in a mortar and pestle until powdered.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and add the saffron. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. Once cooled, add the rose water and lemon juice. Stir well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a jug and refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve the Sharbat-e Zaafraan over ice and enjoy.
