Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Place the dried figs in a large bowl and cover with water. Let them soak for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  2. Drain the figs and place them in a blender. Add 2 cups of water and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the fig mixture into a large pot. Add the sugar and remaining 2 cups of water.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about an hour, or until it has a syrupy consistency.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool. Stir in the rose water and lemon juice.
  6. Pour the sharbat into a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice.
