- Dipping sauces of choice - As desired
- Sesame sauce - 1/2 cup
- Ponzu sauce - 1/2 cup
- Udon noodles - 8 ounces, cooked
- Enoki mushrooms - 4 ounces
- Tofu - 1 block, cubed
- Green onions - 4, sliced
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Carrots - 2, thinly sliced
- Napa cabbage - 1/2 head, sliced
- Beef (or other protein of choice) - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- Prepare the broth by bringing a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add the sliced napa cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, green onions, tofu, and enoki mushrooms to the pot.
- Let the vegetables cook for a few minutes until they are tender.
- Meanwhile, prepare the dipping sauces by mixing ponzu sauce and sesame sauce in separate bowls.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, add the thinly sliced beef to the pot and cook for about 30 seconds until it is just cooked through.
- Using chopsticks or tongs, remove the cooked ingredients from the pot and dip them into the desired dipping sauces.
- Serve the Shabu Shabu with cooked udon noodles and additional dipping sauces on the side.
