Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan, add vermicelli and roast until it turns golden brown.
  2. In a separate pan, boil the milk. Once it starts boiling, add the roasted vermicelli to it and let it cook on medium flame.
  3. When the vermicelli is cooked, add sugar and mix well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee and roast the cashews and raisins until they turn golden brown.
  6. Add the roasted cashews and raisins to the payasam and mix well.
  7. Serve the Semiya Payasam hot or chilled as per preference.
